Nurtured in a family atmosphere that included the arts and education, Roy Barloga was taught by example that work could be pleasurable, as well as meaningful. By the end of high school, he earned a partial four year scholarship from the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation to attend one of the top graphic communications schools in the country. Throughout college Roy continued to enjoy the rewards of learning from his father's color photography, yet his own creative yearning began to develop towards black and white. He later became a full-time partner, and began to sell his own black & white and toned imagery. Roy's design background is evident in his compositions which are always graphically strong.
